The Queen City is about to come alive with the soulful rhythms and vibrant energy of the Lowe’s Got Soul: Savor the Culture Festival. Hosted by none other than Fly Ty and Jacinda from V101.9, this event promises to be an unforgettable celebration of community, culture, and philanthropy.
In an exclusive interview, Dr. Kimberly Odom, President of the South Charlotte Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and Bonika Wilson, Foundation Chair for the same chapter, shared their excitement and vision for the event.
Dr. Odom expressed, “This is an inaugural event, and we are super excited about this fundraising event for our chapter. The Lowe’s Got Soul: Savor the Culture Event is really a celebration of culture and community. We’re going to have seven food vendors, 11 retail vendors, all celebrating our rich culture. It’s going to be a day filled with food, fun, and lots of dancing!”
Bonika Wilson added, “We are not only celebrating culture, but we are also impacting the community in a significant way. The event will benefit three incredible organizations: Families Forward Charlotte, Do Greater Charlotte, and Freedom Within Walls. Each of these organizations is doing amazing work to support children and families in our community.”
During the interview, Fly Ty and Jacinda shared their excitement for the event. “We’re hosting this Saturday, April 27th, from 3 to 8 p.m. at The Amp Ballantyne,” they shared. “DJ Showgun will be there, along with the legendary DJ Kool. And let’s not forget about the incredible food and vendors that will be there. It’s going to be a blast!”
